This is a great present day high action drama with romantic twists and a dash or two of religion added. I liked it especially because of the main character is a strong young woman that is struggling to be herself with a family that wants the norm not irregular. I enjoyed the action filled writing of this author. Never a dull moment. I'm keeping mine so that's a clincher for those that know I usually toss those that I've read and rather not read again. Good luck in finding one... CUZ it's Good!
This was the first book I had bought from this author and I have to tell you I am hooked since then I have read all her books with the exception of Lockdown which is currently on my wish list. The characters are stong and independant but they also have a firm foundation in faith, but it is not overwhelming so even my mother who is not LDS enjoyed them and has read them all with me. Tracy Hunter Abramson writes what she knows and you can tell from the first book of her series The Deep End. I found each of her books to be page turners and read them well into the night but I have to say out of all of them, Freefall is my favorite and will remain on my bookshelf at home :0)
Lieutenant Brent Miller arrived in the Middle East with one objective -- get seven hostages out of a hostile country. The plan almost worked. But now he has been left behind -- with one of the hostages. It's up to Brent to get Amy Whitmore, an LDS Senator's daughter, across miles of desert to safety. What he doesn't know is that to survive, he needs her as much as she needs him.
