This is a basic board book with images and text of the various types of train cars. I think it is appropriate for children up to about 2 yrs old.

My son (18 months) loves trains and loves this book. Not only is it a subject he's interested in, but it's helpful for talking about colors as well.

This book is a classic. Simple and perfect for any preschooler who loves trains. My son didn't really outgrow it until age 9...he always enjoyed hearing it and read it to his younger siblings. Great for teaching colors as well.
