Hilarious!
when carolyn's husband, jason, is invited to lecture in france, it seems like the perfect excuse to indulge in one of the culinary capitals of the world. but along with picturesque street scenes and exquisite meals, the couple is met with incomprehensible traffic, pushy locals, and a thoroughly unpleasant attempt at their lives. a colleague falls victim to a fatal foie gras--intended for carolyn and jason. ands as amourous secrets and more victims are added to the mix, carolyn must discover who cooked the dirty dish and really watch what she eats.
Love the characters and the recipies (even if they are fattening).
Not very interesting.
.Although I normally do not enjoy reading mystery novels, I do enjoy reading about the adventures of expats in France. Nancy Fairbanks writes about a couple from El Paso, Texas, a chemistry professor man and food critic wife. They visit Leon and Avignon, France and try to avoid being killed. It was a fun read!
It was pretty good. Sadder than the others though. Jason and Carolyn have strain in this one, but I still enjoyed it.
Good mystery set in southern France. Relationships were a bit confusing, but I have not read the previous books. I'll add the others in the series to my TBR pile.
A nice cozy. "Forty something homemaker Carolyn Blue is through with cooking and cleaning. She's finally decided to throw in th dishtowel and take on her dream job as a food writer.
