Loved it. The character development is amazing (including the cats and rats), the story is a bit far-out yet delightful and engaging. Can't wait for the next one.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book! The character development was wonderful along with the side stories with the pets. The combined mysteries in the past and the present were very interesting and engaging. I can't wait for the next one!

A light and fast read. Typical divorced mom trying to support herself and child while trying to work from home and the jerk of an ex won't pay his child support. Candyce can't afford to buy antiques to resell, so she goes dumpster diving and curbside hunting for good pieces to refinish and sell. This time she is refinishing an old piano when murder intrudes. Since I am interested in antiques, I found that theme of the book enjoyable. I do hope Candyce can move on a bit from being so bitter about her ex, because I think she has potential as a strong woman on her own.

I enjoy Dyce more everytime I read this series.
"Divorced mom, Candyce "Dyce" Dare is the owner of the furniture refinishing store Daring Finds. When she discovers decades-old letters inside an antique piano she's renovating, she becomes distracted by an investigation that puts her at odds with the letter-writer's very powerful local family."
Cute characters but only last third of book had anything much to do with a mystery!
