This book takes place during season 7, between "Shut Up Dr Phil" and "Slash Fiction". Sam is dealing with memories of being in Hell, and hallucinating that Lucifer is with him on earth. Bobby is alive! Dean is feeling guilty. They hunt a wendigo, but ultimately battle with a Aswang. I have to say that this Aswang is a lot more dangerous than the one from Grimm! I thought the story was well written, even if a bit drawn out. Having the guys deal with a snowstorm, mountain hiking and an avalanche, all while battling vampires and an Aswang, took a majority of the book, and I was more than ready for them to take care of business. I think any fan of Supernatural would enjoy reading this story.
