In the final ending to this series,Sam Gribley has been told it is illegal to have an endangered bird so he must release his falcon, Frightful. Has Sam trianed his bird well enough, or does Frightful lack the skills to survive? Read it yourself to find out.
This was a great read- The first of this 3 book series was loaned to us by our grandkids and we were hooked! It is so informative and interesting- certainly a kid's dream to go be self-sufficient in the woods... unrealistic in that sense, but I've learned a lot about nature and found it very interesting. I was happy to find book #2 & #3 through Bookswap and now will share those back to my grandkids! :) Love Bookswap!

This is a sequel to My Side of the Mountain and On the Far Side of the Mountain. A great read!
Excellent book where Ms. George continues the saga, but this time from Frightful's perspective. The challenges facing a trained falcon in here first year of freedom is engaging and enlightening.
