The thing that struck me the most about this book is that it's "real". I really indentified with the main character Elise.

Well written, not preachy and satisfying!

A wonderful and easy read. Light-hearted yet with a subtle message. The writer had a style that draws you into the story. I couldn't put it down and read it in one sitting. The characters and storyline are very believable. The book was inspiring.

A bit slow in the beginning it picked up quickly though and was a page turner! I'm really starting to enjoy christian chick lit now.

I'm not someone who is usually into reading this type of book, but I found the story to be inspirational and real. The message will hit home with many readers and will leave you feeling fulfilled.

If you're looking for a light read with a positive Christian message, this book is for you. Want something with substance? Take a pass. It's a pleasant book and the main character has led a charmed life. I liked it, but you'd have to be in the mood for frothy.

Great book! Elise Penny always thought she was too big for a small town, but one summer changes everything. She is nominated for the "Proverbs 31" pagent, learns that dreams change over time, and grows in the Lord. This book weaves God's love into the story so gracefully-it is not preachy or awkward at all. It is a great story of trusting in God and being content. I could relate to Elise and learned a few things about myself along the way. I can't wait to read the next book in the series!
