This second book in the series is as good as the first. Becca has developed a love interest, some character development. She must find out who killed the mother of the groom in time to put on the wedding as the bride's friend or, Number One. Twists, turns and lots of action. Excellent.

I have to say that there were a couple of 'eye-rolling' moments in this one, where I thought, 'Are you kidding me?' but aside from that (I'm talking about the ledge), I enjoyed the story. I only gave it 2.5 stars as it was just okay...I will read the next one and hope it is better.

I enjoyed the book, but.... I always have a problem with the plucky heroine who goes ahead and does something incredibly stupid near the end so that she gets captured/shot at/beaten up/threatened/etc. In this case, she does it again and the justification for it--other than it's a necessary plot device required in all cozy mysteries with plucky heroines--is very weak. I just shook my head and said, "Oh, come on!"
Sigh.
Still, given that complaint, I liked the book.

Book 2 in the Farmer's Market series. Becca is helping her best friend with her wedding when the future mother-in-law turns up dead. Nice developement of characters. Becca and Ian are closer, Sam is more personable and the other members of the market show their individuality. Add questionalbe bank activity and a nutty family for a pleasant read. 3 stars
decent enough, but not as good as the first in the series- I found a couple of parts a tad far fetched and the motive/ending wasn't great.
I actually liked this better than the first book

Good story. Nice read.

Second of the Farmers Market mysteries; love reading about the different wares of the farmer's market. Quick easy to read mystery, not quite as interesting as the first of the series.
I like this series a lot. It's well-written and the characters are fun.
