I love this series that takes place on Mackinaw Island. It is such a beautiful setting for a mystery and who doesn't love fudge? Mackinaw Island is one our state's best tourist attractions. You have to take a ferry to get there, the island has no cars, with the exception of an emergency vehicle. I really enjoy Allie McMurphy, her dog Mal, and her friends. In this book, her dog Mal digs up the bones of a human skeleton in various places on the island. The mystery of who the bones belong to and why that person was murdered leads to a very bizarre ending resulting in my not figuring out who the murderer was and I love that in mysteries. I am looking forward to reading the next book. Plus, Allie has two romantic possibilities that I'm looking forward to seeing which one she hooks up with.
