The books written by Evanovich & Hughes are just not as good as the ones written by only Evanovich. They are ok, but the characters are not as interesting and there's not much humor. If you like the Stephanie Plum series you will probably be disapointed.

This wasn't as good as the regular Stephanie Plum series with the numbers but as close as you can get to one of those books. The co-author must be good and kept the story on track least J.E. wander off to romance and sex too much....more focused on the plot which I liked better than some just J.E. books.

This wasn't one of Evanovich's best efforts. I couldn't get into the plot nor any of the characters. This is highly unusual, as an Evanovich book normally gets consumned in a day.

Seperate from Stephanie Plun novels. There's never a dull moment for the residents of Beaumont, South Carolina. Sizzling duo of newspaper editor Jamie Swift and mysterious millionaire Max Holt spice thing up. Even Jamie's dog, Fleas, is dodging the passes from the amorous French poodle next door. The same kind of zany, hilarous, and totally unique Charactors with murder thrown in.

Get ready to have the hottest time of your life with the sizzling duo of newspaper editor Jamie Swift and mysterious millionaire Max Holt. My good friend Charlotte Hughes and I set out to create a whole new world, separate from my Stephanie Plum novels, yet inhabited by the same kind of zany, hilarious, and totally unique characters that we love. There's never a dull moment for the residents of Beaumont, South Carolina. Lately, a heat wave's spiked the mercury-and everyone's sex drive! These days, when Jamie runs into Max, it's all she can do not to tear his clothes off-and the feeling is mutual. But trouble seems to follow Max like moths to a flame, and Jamie suspects he's all wrong for her. Meanwhile, the lingerie shop is having a sale on edible underwear, while the bakery's selling aphrodisiac-laced brownies and x-rated birthday cakes. Even Jamie's dog, Fleas, is dodging passes from the amorous French poodle next door! But when someone starts bumping off some of the town's more annoying citizens, all clues lead straight to the new personals section in Jamie's newspaper. Pretty soon, things are getting hot and heavy, as Max and Jamie start uncovering secrets-and undressing each other...

So settle in with a tall, cool drink, and have fun with Full Blast. We'll be back soon, with another steamy romantic adventure featuring Jamie and Max. Happy reading!

An easy weekend read. I've just begun reading Janet Evanovich's works and this fit her formula style of writing: Humor with a light bit of sexual tension between the hero and heroine. This book was a murder mystery that kept me guessing up to the last chapter.

we are used to from Evanovich, but she manages to still
input some humor and suspense.

I LOVED this audio!! Evanovich is an excellent story teller. This is the first time I'd ever heard Lorelei King as a narrator and she is REALLY good!

For those that don't know, this is the third book (I think) in the Full series. Some say this isn't a great series. While I don't think they equal her Plum series, I still enjoyed it very much.

This book has it all! Excitement, romance, mystery, and just enough weirdness to keep it interesting!
Small town girl jamie who was abandoned by her mother at birth has taken over her father's newspaper upon his death along with her father's long time employee and condidante, Vera. What should be a nice quiet life quickly evaporates into a whirlwind of trouble sizzling romance! Millionaire Max (who instantly sets Jamie weak in the knees) sets out to find out what's gotten into the citizens ouf Beaumont, South Carolina. Are there really aphrodisiacs in Lyle's Brownies? What sparked the lingerie store opening by the former librarian? Who is responsible for all these murders?
As if that weren't enough, Jamie finds herself owning a hound named Fleas who shares her addiction for ice cream and donuts; trying to dodge a self prounounces psychic with a dead spirit attached to her; and becoming a marriage counselor when Max's pregnant sister decides to move in unannounced.
Secrets are not the only thing that are uncovered in this steamy zany novel! Definitely worth the reading.

A very easy read ... but fun. Typical Evanovich - somehow when I read these books I always see Sandra Bullock playing the lead role... In this one Swifty and Max are trying to figure out if some murders are related to a personal ad column - along with a psychic who has a ghost. This book is great for a bus commute!

Jamie Swift is a small town newspaper editor, also known as Swifty by multi-millionaire Mac Holt, who is a silent partner in the paper. Jamie has started a new personals section in the newspaper. But, when a local lingerie shop owner is killed after having a grand opening, and one of her personals is found circled in her office things become tense for Jamie and she calls Max for help. (This is the 3rd book the 2 have teamed up in). There are more killings that also seem to link back to the personals section. Max and Jamie go undercover along with a "clairvoyant" named Destiny to see if they can ferret out who the killer is. So Jamie and Destiny date the different men, compare notes with Max and his computer "muffin" at the same time as Max and Jamie continue to fight their desires for each other. At one point Jamie who has frequented the new lingerie shop is very "tipsy" and decided to show Max, at his B&B room, her new lingerie and at the same time that she does the door opens to the owner of the B&B, making Jamie the talk of the town.

I found this book very repetitive of other elements in her Stephanie Plum detective series. Had the usual annoying/junk food prone dog, crazy older lady with gun and hot cars, heroine with doughnut fetish/recently acquired dog/hunky rich boyfriend, violent crime/deaths. Was not impressed with this book, took several days to get into it, hoping it would improve. May have enjoyed the book more if I had not read many of her other books and already seen this same story line.

Jamie has not heard from Max in weeks... what will become of their romance? Jamie focuses on work and is deciding to start a personals column. In walks Destiny Moultrie and her "psychic" premonitions. Jamie was against her, but her leads start to make sense because she is right most of the time. Max enters after a woman is murdered, and the police question Jamie about the personal section. Jamie and Destiny start meeting with the potential men in the personal adds, with Max as back up. But there are other people answering the ads too! Who will catch who first?
