Though she would probably argue the point (and she DOES have one!), Ellen's whirl through this globe is really larger than life. In her own quirky, funny, lop-sided way of looking at things Ellen brings out the "heart" in all she sees. And believe me - she sees PLENTY. This lovely woman has gone all the way from complete unknown to Superstar to Ellen Who?-the has-been and back again to Superstar. It is obvious that along the way Ellen has learned to take nothing in her life for granted. Her writing is funny, crisp and insightful without being in any way whiny. Yes, I'm a fan. Not only is she a terrific comedian/actress/talk show host; she is also a terrific writer with a heart and soul of gold. Please read this book (and her other one also!) because you will applaud yourself when you finish! You Go, Ellen!

The 2nd book by one of the funniest gals in the 20th/21st century! So funny that I could not put it down!

I love Ellen - love her show, and think she'd be a great person to know, but I had trouble with this book. I didn't find it funny at all as I started reading. It's written just as if she were reciting one of her monologues and it wasn't until I heard her voice in my head as I read that I found the funny.
