I was not able to find parts One or Two, but Part Three of The Vampire Diaries (a trilogy) was enough to get my interest up. I nice book, good for teenagers and those interested in the Goth aspect. The book is a bit creepy, without giving me nightmares and had good characters.

This is book 3 of the Vampire Diaries series by L. J. Smith. As anyone who reads her books know, she is a wonderful author, gifted to writing tales of the paranormal. In book 3 Stefan is tormented over losing Elena, while Elena is confronting the ultimate evil. And Damon is mocking them both. A great book that keeps you on edge!

Although this series was written for teens, I enjoyed it. (I am an adult). The writing really helps you visualize what is going on. I thought it to be a very quick read, and very hard to put down.

This is part 3 of the Vampire Diaries by L J Smith. Its a great book with a wonderful story, strong charcters and of course the paranormal element we all love. On the back of the book:
STEFAN: tormented after losing Elena, he's determined to end the feud with his brother Damon whatever the cost. DAMON: Mocking Stefana nd Elena he laughs in the face of doom. ELENA: Wild with her craving for blood she confronts the ultimate evil.

Fairly good books, especially for a young adult novel. Could be appealing to adults. While they aren't as expansive as the Twilight saga, it should be noted that they were written a decade before and that the stories are more dark in nature (death of teenage girls, ghosts, stormy nights, etc..)

Again I will say for those of you who need a quick fix between Thursdays from the TV show then the books are a quick way to do it. It is a quick read. You get the romance tension you want without the language.

However I still think she needs to be with Damon. Stephen is too weak for her. She is a fighter.

Now...I hate the ending...but that is because I want her to be with Damon...and for those of you who read this..you will know what I mean.

I am a fan of the CW show, so I decided to check out the Vampire Diaries books. The books are quite different from the show. I believe the TV show took the basic concept and characters from the books and ran with the idea allowing for many creative changes. It makes sense, because there is not enough material in the books to fill up a weekly TV show and keep it interesting. So if you are hoping the two are going to be the same or similar, youll be disappointed. However, if you can clear the TV show from your mind -- the Vampire Diaries are a great read!

The Fury" is the final book of the triliogy and my favorite in the set. The characters are strong, the love triangle intensifies and there's plenty of action - right to the bitter end.

It is best if you can read the 1st three books, The Awakening, The Struggle and The Fury one right after the other. It is actually one big story split into the 3 books. They do not sit well alone.
