This book was an interesting book. It isnt a diet plan, it is a book about how to use many techniques but mainly positive thinking and visualization to help your body Not want to store fat anymore. It will address the mental and emotional issues on why your body thinks being fat is good.
I think this book can be an additional tool, along with eating well and exercising. Diet and exercise are not really a component of the Gabriel method. This is not his main area of focus.

Jon Gabriel lost lots of weight once he realized that his body wanted to be fat. He has teased out many reasons for that. This book gives the basics. And it isn't a diet; it's lifestyle changes.

Informative, helpful, and reassuring. Jon Gabriel's approach is much kinder than many health books out there, probably because he knows what it feels like to do your best to do things "the right way" but still not see the results. His approach is much more concerned with cortisol reduction and building up health on multiple levels. The information is backed up with science and a good appendix with further explanation. If you are sick of being guilted, shamed, and badgered to death by health books, and are open to the idea that the mind-body connection is of key importance in achieving and maintaining health and wellness, give this one a try.
