I've read all of the books in this series up to this point. For those of you who started with this book, go back and read the previous ones. I love the series, but I'm struggling with this book. The writer seems to go through growth spurts, and the last one didn't help, I don't think. The previous books are cute, quick, easy reads that I enjoyed.

This is the first book in the series that I have read, and it might be my last. I struggled to finish this one--it was boring. There was so much digression into the world of mental therapy that I almost lost track of the plot. The best thing about the book were the dogs.

The latest Holly Winter mystery features a married couple who are counselors and refuse to discipline their dog, even to the extent of housebreaking him. And while Holly is trying to do something about that the wife turns up dead.
As usual the book includes a good helping of Holly's personal life with her new husband and her beloved dogs.
The mystery is good and the characters, human and canine, are better.

A real tail wagger - sheer bliss for dog lovers.
I didn't like this one quite as much as most of the others (I thought the ending was predictable) but I still enjoyed the story and the characters.
