as trivia books go, lame. It sprinkles in a few jokes with the trivia, but that does nothing but kill the thought that the trivia might be completely false. Not worth the money, but hey, lets look at the points on the back of the book:
Become a sudoku god: basic strategy, in fact, just the beginning strategy.
Brew your own beer: seemed to be missing a step or two, or at least important info.
Build a laser beam: just mentioned what three main part are, nothing about actually building one
classify all living things: just a 4th grade overview of taxonomy.
clone your own pet: probably good reason it was just a science fair overview of the process
exorcise demons: fine, that was actually valid and detailed instructions, fair enough
find the worlds best corn mazes: or at least the ones they felt like listing.
grasp the theory of relativity: well, I guess.
have sex on second life: I don't play that game, so I don't care.
injure a fish: or 'refraction of light' but seriously, how hard is it to injure a fish? and why??
join the Knights Templar: actually a short list of 'secret' societies.
kick ass with sweet martial arts moves: words, no images, helpfulness? not much.
learn ludicrous emoticons: just like what you normally find online
master the ocarina of time: if you have a ren fest ocrina, 4 zelda tunes and yellow submarine for it.
pimp your cubicle: a few items from thinkgeek.com
program a remote control: not useful
quote he-man and Che Guevera: a few quotes, but the value of such?
solve fiendish logic puzzles: again, half the instructions you would get if you bought a book of such puzzles
touch Carl Sagen: actually, just mentions a school that has a contest where the goal is to get a pic of you next to him. not really teaching you how to do anything.
unmask Linus Torvalds: I don't even remember WTF that is referring to.
visit Beaver Lick, KY: actually, just a list of places with 'dirty' names. Not even info like what highways or anything.
win bar bets: one or two in there, not really that smart though
write your name in Elvish: tolkens alphabet, but looked like it was missing rules.
but hey, your choice if you want to read this book.
