I gave the book 1 star for the pictures. Other than that, it is useless. The book is 288 pages but contains only 11 recipes and 25 projects. The rest of it is filled with pictures of yarn, jellybeans, flowers, buttons, etc. The author thinks that her life is so entertaining, she must share mundane stories about her baking, quilting and the like. If you are looking for a book that shows you how to stitch, bake and other comforts of home, this isn't it!

Wonderful eye candy for homemakers. A fun read, but I have yet to try the recipes.

I'm not sure what the reason for this book was. I was hoping it would be filled with the history of Domesticity. While it does have a few recipes that I stopped to read.....I finished this book in minutes. It seemed to me to be more of a compilation of her blog posts, than an actual book. 1 star- as the other reviewer said...for the pics.
