This book is scorching hot and highly entertaining!!!! It is a breath of fresh air to the whole vampire genre setting.

In this book vampires and angles co-exist but only during their respective hours. meaning Angles can only be awake during the day, and the Vamps only at night. During their off hours they go into hibernation mode and fall asleep--out cold. The sunlight doesnt kill the vamps.

In this story, we meet Jackie Brighton who wakes up in a dumpster with little to no memory of the previous day. (Wait make that 2 days, LOL) She runs into a strikingly handsome man named Noah, who helps her remember their scorching night of passion. Litterally drained of her blood and left for dead Noah helps her realise that not only did she have sex with a fallen Angel (the-Serium) But also bitten and killed by a vampire. She wakes up re-born as a Succubus. (Neutral to both the vamps and the Serium)

Over the course of 24 hours, Jackies body has transformed from a frumpy size 14 with b-cups, to a sensual size 6 with double D's. Her plain red hair turns silky and into a gorgeous shade of striking red. She learns that she now has an "Itch" that she must fufill approx every 2 days in order to survive.

When she accidentally makes a promise to help an Angel named Uriel ("Dealers" as they are called) find out what the vampires are up to, she has no choice but to follow through on her promise. One mistake after another leads Jackie on an exciting and lust filled adventure of a life time (or After-life, LOL)

This book was amazing!!! I will continue to look for this authors work, and already have her second book on pre-order. Scorching hot sex, humor, vamps, and fallen angels, how much more fun can you squeeze into a book? If you enjoyed Richelle Meads' Georgina Kincade Succubus series, please please please read this series too!!! You will not be sorry! Im sure this is going to be deemed as my favorite book of 2010. Its definitely staying on my keeper shelf!

There is actually a decent plot to this book... since Jackie is considered neutral to both the light and dark, both sides seek her help in finding a missing artifact. But in the wrong hands could destroy everything! The Succubi are considered catnip to the vamps, and each side tries to use them to do their bidding! LOL

Also the yummy 6-pack featured on the cover of this book is of the fallen Angel, Noah; and the six pack yum yum on the cover of the second book is of the vampire, Zane.

This apparently is the first book in a series. I wanted to love this book but I think I will settle for slightly enjoyable. It is well written, but Jackie the main character is a freaking moron~! I just kept putting the book down due to her extreme stupidity. I really wanted to like it, it seems that the author wants it to be a series along the lines of MacAlister's Grey series or Davidson's Betsey series. The characters around Jackie keep the book interesting, but Jackie herself is an idiot. I don't understand her extreme love for Noah who she pretty much has met 3 times, and one of those times told her to stop being so clingy. She spends most of the book not enjoying the benefits of her change and acts like a clingy, needy pain the butt. Argh~! I really kept waiting for someone to slap her.

Surprisingly good! I normally avoid serial romances with love triangles because I dislike the soap-opera style drama. The only time it works for me is if all three characters are "together." But a few reasons made me give this book a chance. 1) Kresley Cole, Meljean Brook, and Ilona Andrews recommended it; 2) Jill Myles is a self-proclaimed armchair Egyptologist and explains her archaeological plot points in her afterward; and 3) I read the ending before I bought the book, realized it was a self-contained story with few loose ends, and liked the humor with which the heroine dealt with having two boyfriends.

But I was still worried I'd be disappointed once I actually started reading. Those fears were quickly dissipated once I realized that Myles was not going to make her Succubus heroine have sex every 20 pages nor have her turn into some collected ass-kicking Anita Blake wannabe. Jackie is a nerdy, ex-size 14, paranormal Bridget Jones who suddenly doesn't have all the answers or become super cool after she becomes immortal. The only good thing that comes out of her being a Succubus is she suddenly develops a killer body and can eat whatever she wants. It is really funny reading about her trying to exist in a new world that suddenly includes other Succubi, vampires, fallen angels, and vengeful archangels. What makes this novel unique is that, despite the sexy cover, it actually reads more like chick lit with a lot of pages used to develop Jackie's character. Unlike most romance novels, the heroine spends great chunks of the story without either lover. I thought this would detract from the developing romances, but somehow it doesn't. An inordinate amount of the story is about Jackie and her new best friend and fellow Succubus, Remy. Their relationship is just as interesting, if not at times more interesting, than the story developing between Jackie and her two men. In other words, every character has a distinct personality that draws you into their world and makes you want to keep reading about them. I want to read more about Remy and I hope in the ensuing novels she gets her own happy ending.

For those of us who actually care when archaeology is used intelligently and interestingly, I can honestly say that I was very pleased with how Myles used it to enhance her story. Yes, there is actual research involved in this book.

My only critique about the story is that I'm still not clear about how Jackie became a Succubus and why. You know who created her and that it was done out of love, but not why. It is the only thing that really irks me and a big reason why I didn't give this novel a 5 star review. Still it is a strong novel and I hope the magic continues into the next several novels--one of which will hopefully explain why Jackie was made immortal.

A very good read! It's starts off quickly and never slows downs. It is a very entertaining read full of likable and interesting characters. For her debut novel, Jill Myles tells a very good story with a new way of looking at vampires and good versus evil. Jackie Brighton is such a fun character who finds herself in the most amusing situations.I'm looking forward to getting the second book in this series.

I usually will not touch a book with a fabio look alike on the cover. I also, usually like my paranormal books to be dark (more on the edge of UF). I should have disliked this book, instead I read it in one night and was smiling so hard my cheeks (on my face that is) hurt. I still want to trash the cover. It was the reason I held off reading it for so long. Why do the publishers think that women will only buy these books when the man looks like Fabio with long greasy hair? GROSS! Regardless, this is a case of dont judge a book by its cover!

The characters in this book are great. They are funny, witty and make you unsure who you like more. The storyline is easy to follow, humorous at parts but still has enough action to keep you interested. Jackie, poor, poor Jackie, yeah right. If we all could have the problems Jackie had in this book. Which man to sleep with Noah or Zane? I want her problems!

Sweet (and overweight) Jackie Brighton is suddenly a raving sex maniac thanks to the vampire bite combined with the angel sex. Now she's a voluptous skinny succubus with DDs whose a nymphomaniac and tied to two masters - the vampire and the angel. Her new best friend, Remy, the only other succubi in town, has turned her into a slutty hooker thinking if sex is her game she should look the part. This is supposed to be paranormal romance but it leans heavier towards the erotic label. The sex scenes are very hot and overly long.

Up until the halfway point, there wasn't anything new and unique about this novel. Sprinkle out the rules to the new succubus life in dribs and drabs so the newbie can provide comic relief with all her blunders. I found Jackie to be one of those TSTL heroines who are very annoying in their stupidity. She eventually wises up and grows on you especially when she hooks up with Zane, the vampire.

All in all not a bad start to the series especially now that Jackie's idiocy is hopefully over and done with. It will be interesting to see where Remy, Zane, Noah and Jackie take their adventures.

I liked this book except it was way to erotic for me. I skipped all those pages-but if you like erotic books, you will love this one.

I enjoyed the characters of this story, but the author loses track of the HOWS of her story and those holes are irritating. Why would an angel kiss her forehead to pay for her to do something for him, then not replace the kiss after she performs his request but the power of the kiss has been negated? I will go buy the 2nd book which is out now to see what happens. Not as much sex as you'd expect in a book about succubi, and no reason provided as to why she was made... holes.

Without doubt, one of the strangest vampire "romance" books I've ever read.

A very quick read. I enjoyed it very much, mostly because of the twisting story line and the main character.

Jackie Brighton, museum tour docent, finds herself passed over for a promotion. To alleviate some of her pain, she spends the evening in a bar tossing back drinks like no tomorrow. When she wakes up, she finds herself in a dumpster with a pounding headache.

Jackie has vague flashbacks of a very erotic evening and stunned at her own shameless behavior runs home, but before she can, she stumbles into a hunk of handsome. The same handsome she spent the night with. Noah gently asks Jackie some questions, and her world is soon turned upside down.

She finds out she was in the dumpster for two days, and that remembers she was mugged before she met up with Noah, who is a fallen angel. He fears she may be turning into a succubus but Jackie thinks he is crazy. Crazy until she sees her boobs falling out of her shirt and her pants falling down around her ankles; and she has a crazy desire to rip someone's clothes off.

But Jackie doesn't want to be a succubus, so she makes a deal with an angel, Uriel. All she has to do is find out what the vampires are up to and he'll make her urges go away for a month. Easier said than done. The vampire queen has other ideas about Jackie, and it entails her retrieving a powerful halo. And until she does, she will keep Noah hostage. Jackie storms off to Egypt with a handsome vampire named Zane, her fellow succubus Remy, and her eyes bright blue with an unquenchable desire.

Gentlemen Prefer Succubus is a fun paranormal romp with sexy and hot interludes. Angels, Demons, Succubus, and More! I laughed out loud several times, the characters are smokin' hot, and the premise so unbelievable, your not sure what side to cheer for. I loved it and can't wait for the next installment, Succubi Like It Hot. If you like paranormal romance, pick this one up today!

Was really disappointed in this one. It seems like Miss Myles is trying to emulate MaryJanice Davidson. Unfortunately Jackie Brighton is not and never will be a Betsy. Even my friend Holly, who lives for these types, was disappointed and decided not to even try to get the sequel.

I did not know what to expect when starting this book for I have never read any of Jill Myles' work, but the plot & subject matter were right up my alley of interest. Within the first few chapters I was hooked! It read like a movie, with great humor and intensity. It had everything I could ask for in a book. I loved every character within the book, Jackie, Remy, Noah, and Zane. I believe I have found a new addicting series as well as a new addicting author with Jill Myles. I read this book in less that about two days in total, just had to know what happened next, not one did the plot get boring. Just Wow, Wow, Wow!!!
