Rachel W. (hrossa) reviewed Geology of Death Valley: Landforms, Crustal Extension, Geologic History on + 50 more book reviews
A fascinating publication about Death Valley . . . includes a discussion of present geology, the tectonics that made it, and the geologic history of the area. Great for a focused study intruducing geology, it would be useful for high school and advanced middle school studies. The text is well written with significant terms in bold and defined on the page that they appear on, as well as in the glossary in the back. Almost every page has a photograph / table / chart or map making the book great for visual learners as well.
