This book is like a runaway train. Once you open it just hang on and enjoy the ride. It was a totally engrossing thriller with continuous twists and turns that you don't expect and it doesn't even slow down until the ending.

A scientist develops a designer bio weapon that is specific to a person or persons DNA and prepares to unleash it on the world. This is a real page turner with non stop action. Sometimes it does stretch the believablity factor, but then again isn't that what good fiction does? I am going to try his other books.

While I do think this novel should have been called Virus as it is about a virus and not a germ. But, aside from that, it is a great read. With engaging characters and a plot that won't let you go to sleep. A designer virus is a time bomb set to kill specific people according to their DNA code. I believe this is quite possible in our current scientific development. So could it happen? I think so. You gotta read this one.
I don't generally read this type of novel, but I chose it on the off-chance that I would like it. I am so glad I did! The suspense is incredible and the reality of this actually happening is kind of scary. I highly recommend this to anyone.
A really fast thriller of a read...perfect for traveling, makes time fly! Like Da Vinci code for bioterrorism.
Excellent book!
This is a great new author I have discovered. I read both of his books. Hope he has more out there or more coming!
When I found this book at Half Priced Books for a dollar, I couldn't wait to read it! I started it a week ago and decided today to put it down. I made it 211 pages but just couldn't do it. It is action packed and right up my ally, but I felt disconnected from the characters in the book. There are so many points of view that I got lost who was who, who was against who, and what was taking place. I found myself looking back in the story twice to make sure I was reading correct because I had gotten two characters confused. I think part of that was the closeness in their names. I'm sure this is a great book, but for me it wasn't and I wish it was.
Robert Liparulo gives us a genuinely terrifying thrill ride here, using a menace born in the racial hatred of the Third Reich, nurtured by a personal vendetta, and brought to life by 21st-century technology. And it's all the more frightening for being far too plausible.
The stakes here are nothing less than the control of a designer virus, keyed to the DNA of specific victims, about to be set loose on the public. Liparulo gets the maximum mileage out of it as his characters fight to stay alive long enough to unravel the mystery and eliminate the danger while being hunted by an implacable, almost superhuman assassin.
Four stars for this page-turner.

This book grabs you right at the beginning with lots of action and a compelling story. However, it becomes redundant and predictable about three quarters of the way through. Fortunately, it's a very fast read so the last quarter of the book isn't too big a disappointment.
Very interesting book. Suspenseful and kept my interest till the end.
Some of the story states some fighting that is unrealistic, kinda like in the movies when someone gets beat over and over but never injured. But if you can ignore that the book was a good read.

I really liked this book. I felt it was a well written intrigue that comes perhaps too close to letting us know just how vunerable we are with respect to being infected with deadly germs. It also describes the lengths that people will go to deceive you about their rolls in accomplishing this goal. I felt this is a very talented writer.
The germ- a form Of the Ebola virus has been genetically engineered to infect only those people whose DNa matches the codes embedded within it. It's release will usher in an era where countries are left without defense. Where a single person or millions could be killed with perfect accuracy and zero collateral damage.Where your own DNA works against you.
The time is not coming. It is now. Pray that the assassins get you first. This is a thriller and what is scarier than Ebola virus gone rampant.
