This is a technical medical thriller involving gene therapy. Dr. Kevin Kincaid is a neurosurgeon but more importantly, he is also a brilliant research scientist who has developed a method to deliver corrective genes to the nucleus of cells of embryos in order to cure inherited disabilities. Kincaid soon discovers that he is being used. Conspiracy and dirty deeds abound. A large part of this story involves detailed, technical gene science, so not a beach read.

Although the story was gripping, there was too much scientific data to decipher; made for a slow read.

An interesting take on the stem cell type story.
