This is a fast-paced crime/mystery involving a ghost writer. The writer is hired to write a memoir for an English Prime Minister, but most of the action takes place in this country. I learned a few things about ghost writers and ghost writing, and I thoroughly enjoyed this intriguing mystery. The writer investigates background and uncovers hidden secrets that others don't want published. Tense, tightly written, engaging.

Don't know what to think of this book.
I enjoyed it. I read it very quickly. The ending was eye opening instead of being run of the mill. Characters were a little too cookie cutter.
Anyway, I recommend the book. There is just something about it that when I completed it, I wanted more. Not more of the story, maybe more filler or character development. If this was a sports program I would say it was missing its color commentator.

Read a lot of reviews before finally getting a copy of The Ghost to read but it is a very good book with interesting characters and plot.

Loved this book. It's the first I've read of Robert Harris, and his writing is captivating. The story keeps taking unexpected twists and turns and the main character guides you through a labyrinth of intrigue in such a charming way. There is never a moment you are not thoroughly engaged while reading this totally unpredictable story.
