Cady is a senior in high school when her brother, a Harvard student, commits suicide. He suffered from schizophrenia. When she gets accepted into Harvard her mother is totally against her going to the place where their son lost his life. As a freshman, she becomes obsessed with his death and begins hearing voices from the past herself. This is an intriguing story of mental illness, loss, love and accomplishment.
