THIS BOOK IS VERY GOOD!! You will honestly not be able to put it down. It is about Blossom Culp who lies that she can see into the future and finds out she really does have "second site" nobody believes her until she starts seeing things.. like a girl at her friends school's little brother being run over by a cart before it happens. Then Blossom sees the sinking of the Titanic.... This book is very good I highly reccomend you read it!

Even as an adult reader, I have to agree that the novel is great paranormal historical juvenile fiction. I thoroughly enjoyed Blossom's cynical comments on human behavior. Before reading the novel, I did not even know about the RMS Olympic so I received a mini-education from Alexander's bits of trivia. Also, true facts were intermingled with Blossom's and Alexander's London sightseeing expeditions. In my opinion it takes a very mature young adult to fully appreciate this work of Richard Peck.
I didn't realize this was a book for young adults, but enjoyed it just the same. It is the adventures of a young girl with second sight. The setting is 1914 and everyday life in that era was interesting.
A favorite of mine.
This is a very good read, it is quick, but also keeps your attention through out the whole story. I especially liked the way the author captured the times, culture and speech of that time period.
I will definitely read more of Richard Peck's books. I also may be a little swayed by the fact that he grew up in Decatur, Illinois, about 10 miles north of where I was born and raised, so I was very interested in learning his history and where he got his education, and was happy to see he ended up in England!
