I love the small framed quotes or inspiring/encouraging sayings. Just recently really got into making these and most of the time when I return to that persons house they are out on display :)

Since you know her you will be able to pick just the right one that will "speak" to her and offer the bright thought/positive she may need that day. Friends are awesome!

SUPER CHEAP and way meaningful. Plus handcrafted, always a plus!

Oh and for the mom, photos of flowers. last longer than the real thing and easier to mail ;)
