Very good story of a girl born with a congeniel facial defect who overcomes the odds and becomes something she has always dreamed of becoming, a famous actress, also finding love along the way. Really enjoyed this book and hated for it to end!

A great romance novel about a woman who has to face superficial beauty and face the true beauty within. Mary Alice Monroe writes wonderful, compelling books. One of my favorite authors.

A romance...
A woman who had surgery to correct a deformity of her face, becomes beautiful beyond compare. She moves to Hollywood and is a big movie star.
She falls in love but no one knows her secret, not even her new love. What happens when he finds out?
A really great read, it ends up being kind of a warm-n-fuzzy kind of book.

A little bit far-fetched, but a good read none the less! It was one of those books that I couldn't put down. I enjoy all of Mary Alice Monroe's books. I admire the way that she creates characters that feel very real to the reader. I believe that Girl in the Mirror is one of her earlier novels. Like I said, the story line was a little bit far fetched. The circumstances and coincidences seemed a little unlikely, but that's the joy of fiction! It was a nice easy read. All in all, a nice love story!

An interesting book from Mary Alice, about a facial deformity and how it directs the lives of those involved. Somewhat predictable, but it did have an unusual twist at the end!
