For me this is more like a short story (225 pages), I'd say it is the genre of 'thriller' and an easy read but yet it just seemed to drag out too long and that might be because of the sport of 'rowing' which has no interest to me and made that part of the story just draggy, but it does have that 'twist' that makes it a thriller
