This book has stood the test of time - with more than 5 reprintings since I first read it in the early 1980s. The plot follows a young girl with unusual eyes and even more unusual abilities, who is struggling to fit and relate to those around her. Great for the precocious young reader.

Keep on reading even if this book starts off slow because it is really good.
I thought it was a great book that a friend of mine recommended to me. Differently in the children's vein of writing, but the concept's in it will please any true follower of telepathy.
I remember reading this one over and over again in about 4th or 5th grade. Loved it!
Loved this book as a pre-teenager. Many kids feel like they don't fit in and while they may not have special powers, this story helps them see that they are not alone. Great book!
Didn't read it, but it is a preteen book about a girl who likes books better than people. She has eerie silver eyes and likes to play tricks on people. She has special powers, she's accused of a murder and she doesn't want to hurt anyone. Can her new friends help her?
