These "Girlfriends' Guides" are entertaining and funny while providing good information. During pregnancy and the first year of motherhood you are so bombarded with information - much of it very scary and overwhelming. It made me really glad for the laughs!

I LOVE this series, they are serious yet THE MOST HILARIOUS books I have ever read. Like, you're pregnant reading them in bed and laugh so hard you pee. And laugh CONSTANTLY. That's always good when you're pregnant, I figure!

This book is very fun! Vicki tells it like it is, she also tells you what the doctor won't tell you. I loved the humor and it's so nice to know that you're not the only woman experiencing what you're experiencing. Enjoy!

It's been awhile since I've read this book (my kids are 8.5 and almost 7!), but it was funny and can be read in short snippets, which is the only reading one can do, generally, with a child under the age of 1! There is also some useful, yet lighthearted, information.
Helpful Score: 1
I loved this book!! It has funny, but true advice and suggestions for the new mom.

This book is awesome! It's funny, reassuring, and covers everything you're going to be wondering about. It's written from a 'friend' point of view, so you feel like you've got a buddy helping you through things, which is especially helpful if you're reading it in the wee hours of the morning with a sick baby resting on your chest. (But all of that's covered in the book.)

This book has been a lift in my spirits during my pregnancy. It is really very funny and it really faces the hard facts! I did find it a little "vain" but then I was not a size 4 before I became pregnant so I had nothing to lose! Still it is a funny witty look at the truth behind the whole baby bearing thing! The best thing was how candid it was!
