I didn't think I was going to enjoy this book, but I really did. I think there were only two short stories that I could have skipped without missing out and the rest were just great. I was driven to read the book because I wanted to read more by Sophie Kinsella and I did quite enjoy her story, but the best part was that I got a sampler of other writers that have a similar genre and voice to that of Kinsella, which absolutely made my day. Girls Night In is a very quick read and is easily read alongside of other books because it is a collection of short stories by a range of authors. None of the stories are too long and they are perfect to get more enjoyable reading into your day. This is definitely worth a credit!!

This book was just okay in my opinion. I liked Jennifer Weiner's book of short stories, so I thought I'd like this one too. I found some of the stories to be inappropriate for the short story genre. The topics some of the authors chose needed more development than you can get in a short story. There were several that I really liked however. "In Agony" was probably my favorite one along with "Party Planner" . I liked "Good Men", but I had read it before. "Changing People" was one that I felt needed much more development. It could have been great as a novel. Perhaps Sophie Kinsella will make it into one!

I'm not a big fan of short stories, but this was nice to read a little tidbit by authors I've never read, to see if I would enjoy their books. It's also good if you can only read a little bit here and there.

A story collection from all your favorite Chick Lit authors. Each story is only 10-15 pages, and each reflect the style of the writer. Very much enjoyed!

A collection of short stories from the best of the chick lit genre. If you read any chick lit, I would say this is worth picking up. I liked taking a break every little bit to read a short story that I could get into quick and then come to the conclusion in just a few short pages. I think I should do this more often, adds variety to my reading.

Although there were some stories that I wished were full blown novels, there were some that I was glad would be ending quickly. Without going and dissecting each story, I would say that the majority were at least a little enjoyable.

Pick this one up at your local library or used book store, but you may not keep it around for long.

Some of the short stories are great...like the ones from the big name authors such as Sophie Kinsella and Meg Cabot. The others...well, not that great actually. I made myself read the whole book and at the end, realized I should have just read the stories by the authors I knew and loved.

Love the concept of trying out several authors, but really only liked a couple of stories in this collection. Good for lunch time reading.

This is a great way to get introduced to new(to you) chick lit authors. Even if you only pick this up because the woman who wrote your current favorite novel is featured you'll still find something else you enjoy. I admit there were some shorts that left me scratching my head and say "Whaaa?" but that's a part of life. Besides, it would be pretty boring if everyone had the same writing style.
