This is the first Lauren Dane book I've read. I was pretty excited about it, but while a good story, I thought Kyle the "hero" was a little weak, almost feminine. I guess I like me hero's a little tougher!

Yes, nice, only nice. If not for the sex scenes (which are numerous but not erotica by any means) I'd think it was written by a teenager. Everthing was just as a fantasy should be-the bad people were horrible and the good people were super nice, the newly brave lead says the right things at the right time, and everything is wrapped up with a neat little bow. Maggie, the poor downtrodden history teacher dumps her boyfriend and suddenly is desired by 3 of the 4 hottest brothers in town and one other person who becomes her stalker. Within weeks she is practically adopted by her new boyfriend's family; is kidnapped by her stalker and saved from rape at the very last second by the sheriff; fights off the nasty sluts who want her man, and testifies at her stalker's trial, where he is convicted of course. The mother and sister are both evil and the father, who has ignored her until now, suddenly realizes, after a public scene, that his wife is evil and decides to divorce her. 28 years of private humiliation didn't register but one public scene opens his eyes. Hmm. Honestly the only thing missing was Maggie winning "Teacher of the Year", that would have been the cherry on top. I'm surprised the author didn't think of it. As for the sex, I've read Silhouette Intimate Moments that were hotter than this. As there are 4 brothers and none of the others are hitched, I assume we'll be seeing more from this author. I'm hoping she can put some character in her characters.

Good storyline but this read like a first novel. With a little more polish could have been great.

Contemporary/suspense romance from Samhain Publishing. Maggie is a small town school teacher, who has always been in the shadow of her attractive sister and mother. She's a beautiful woman with low self esteem. She comes out of her shell a little, and gets the attention of two of the hunky Chase brothers. She figures out which one is right for her, when a psycho decides that Maggie is the one for him. Some cliches in this book, the romance is strong, the characters likeable, the sex scenes steamy. I enjoyed the book.

All I can say is that I loved, loved, loved this book and series. I read this entire "Chase Brothers" series, (4 books) in less than a week. I couldn't put it down. I wished they were loner, but alas they had to end and now I'll be looking for her second series "Brown Siblings".

This book is about two special people, Maggie Wright and Kyle Chase. Maggie Wright is a small town girl looking for the right man. She believes that in order to find Mr. Right she must lower her standards and stop going for the hot men that lead no where, but that's sure hard to do when her small town grows really good looking men with the last name Chase. She gives into temptation and goes on a couple of dates with Shane Chase. After Shane runs out on her during a date she's decides she's had enough. She begins to date a down to earth Librarian and at the beginning it goes well, that is until Kyle Chase shows interest in Maggie and her down to earth Librarian suddenly turns into a stalker.

Now that Shane has messed up, Kyle has no intention of letting anything stop him from wooing her right into his life and bed. Maggie's happiness and growing love with Kyle leaves her breathless, while a her stalker threatens everything-she's ever wanted. In the end will Maggie's wits, strength and the love of her man be enough to save her when her stalker goes too far.
