Short novella written in lyrical prose, short story style. A 28 year old book restoration expert who works in the library, loves old things, and has a crush on a fellow worker who has just returned from Iraq goes through her day and we learn of her life story in the process from stirring honey in her tea in the morning which leads to memories of her mom and growing up in Alaska, to buying a vintage dress on her lunch break and memories of thrift shopping with her dad, to a party at the end of the day. Nice story, beautiful writing.

Delicate, thoughtful, and endearing.

After one reading, I realize this is a book you could return to fondly. Strolling the sweet memories, savoring a different one each time.
