This is about the best mainstream economic analysis of the shortcomings of neoliberal capitalism. Far from a radical, Stiglitz writes as an economist with boatloads of experience in the White House and at the World Bank. If you want an anti-capitalist critique there are stronger books out there, but if you are looking for a lucid well-reasoned argument how the IMF and WTO tilt the playing field even further into rich countries favor, this is the book for you.
