The mystery in this book is very well done, better than some others in fact. The romance, or falling in love in about 3 days is annoying, but I didnt let that ruin it for me. I plan to read the rest of the mysteries in this series because I enjoyed the mystery part so much. If you are a not a big fan of Christian books you will still enjoy this book, it is not over the top religious in any way except the characters all sing in the church choir and they are squabbling over money. The main characters had real life problems and hurts, nothing was whitewashed. Emma McCall is a likable heroine, a real life woman who does not have an obsession with shoes for once. I admired her, I think you will too esp at the end, when you see how she saves the day.

I really enjoyed this book! I love mysteries and this one was set in a bed and breakfast. The characters were engaging. I found out that the next book in this series is out, so now I want to read that one as soon as possible. I didn't guess the ending!

This was a great story, with a surprise ending, at least for me. It is a true cozy, with no foul language or overt sexual content at all. Very nice read and looking forward to the next one in the series. This is a great writing team and they know how to do a great mystery, with some Christian content and not be preachy. The characters are great as well, all very likable.

good mystery! I didn't figure it out entirely though I kinda suspected what was involved..just not 'who'. This one was not 'preachy' or overly religious(for those who are turned off by that sorta stuff). It ws a good fast-paced and interesting mystery. no wimpy female and the plot was pretty good IMO.
A church has come into a lot of money but it has to be used for the music ministry. The traditionalists want a new pipe organ and traditional worship while the contemporaries want a band and stage and all the works. Since the traditionalist are most the older generation they have the support of the media so the contemporaries which are mainly the high school students resort to playing pranks and leaving cards saying as much at the scene. When one of the older church memebers dies in a wreck the question comes to was it an accident, a prank gone wrong, or deliberate murder? The story goes from there.
