The good: I'm glad I read this book, it's full of decent "life advice" and has several ideas and suggestions built off of bible verses. It's easy to read, has a great flow, and did help me to understand a few things.
The bad: This is written for adolescent and teen girls. While that isn't really a problem in itself, just be aware that there are several juvenile "guides," for example, there's an entire chapter on liking boys and that you shouldn't have sex and whatnot, it doesn't really have any advice for someone who's in a relationship, has had intercourse, etc. It's geared for the "before you do this" crowd, not the "since you've done this, approach it this way" group.
The ugly: This book is listed as being 176 pages. Most of the pages are half-filled (there's seriously like a 3 inch gap between the page edge and the writing) and it's in size 14 font, so it's huge. If this book was formatted like a regular book, it's realistically like 20 pages long. I felt a little ripped off by this, I was expecting 176 pages of good stuff, not 20 pages of writing and 156 pages of blank space and drawings of tree branches.
Read the bible first. If you haven't read the bible yet, it's the only book you need, this is just a supplement to it. I'm happy I picked it up and read it, and it did help a little, but the bible is still the best and the ultimate life survival guide.
