God?s Ten Commandments: Yesterday, Today, Forever
Gods Ten Commandments Yesterday Today Forever Author:Francis Nigel Lee Introduction God calls upon Christians to sanctify the Lord God in your hearts, and always be ready to give a defense to everyone who asks you a reason for the hope that is in you, with meekness and fear (1Pet. 315, nkjv). As we obey Him, we must defend the faith in such a way that it sanctifies the Lord in our hearts. We must defend the faith ... more »from a position of faith. Too many defenses of the faith cede the method of approach to the unbeliever and end up proving at best the possibility that a god existsnot the certainty that the God of Scripture exists. Let us see how we may do this. . . . The nonChristian must ultimately explain the universe not on the basis of the allorganizing, selfsufficient, allwise, personal God as his starting point but rather by nebulous, chaotic, impersonal chance. He asserts that the universe was produced by a combination of impersonal chance plus an enormous span of time. Thus the ultimate starting point and the allconditioning environment of the universe is time plus chance. Consequently, rational science is rooted in the irrationality of chance. The scientist cannot speak of design or purpose in the universe because there is no designer or purpose. There can be no goal or purpose in a random system. Nigel Lee, author« less
