If you like humorous British mysteries, you will love Dorothy Cannell. All of her books are witty and her writing is uplifting for those of us who find we may be graying a little and might want to lose another ten pounds or so. Great work!

When Sir Henry changes his will and announces he has left Gossinger Hall to his butler, the family is horrified. Is anyone surprised when the butler is found dead? Well written and intriguing....A stand alone cozy....
A great book to sit down and relax and read. Lots of mysterious goings on and at times hilariously funny. Dorothy Cannell is one of my favorite authors.
At gloomy Gossinger Hall, where the chill of centuries calls for three sweaters, Sir Henry Gossinger has just dropped a bombshell. After hours of unexplained penance on his knees inthe chapel, he has announced to his unwitting relatives that he has written a new will...bequeathing everything to his devoted butler, Hutchins. Not since the days of George III, when roguish Sir Rowland Gossinger was accused of stealing the Queen's silver tea strainer, has such a scandal threatened the family honor. But worse is yet to come.....for Hutchins is missing!
At Gossinger Hall, Sir Henry Gossinger has just announced to his relatives that he has left Grossinger Hall to his butler, Hutchins. Then Hutchins dies or was murdered and his last words were "God Save the Queen". To Flora, the deceased's young granddaughter, the loss is tragic. With the help of Sir Henry's nephew, he helps Flora discover a cold blooded killer. Good book, surprising ending.
