Cook is one of the best medical/techno thriller authors I have read. Good plot and a quick read. Nationwide Bestseller
When Cassandra Cassidy meets Thomas Kingsley, it's love at first sight for both of them. Deeply in love, the two gifted doctors are soon married. As Cassandra's degenerative eye disease forces her to switch from her chosen field to psychiatry she tries to make the best of her situation.
Around other people he is wonderful, but as he begins a meteoric rise in the hospital, alone with her, Thomas is hostile and full of rage. Soon, the fairytale begins to crumble. Desperate to save her marriage, Cassandra spends more time around the hospital, which is being menaced itself. There is an 'Angel of Death' stalking and killing the terminal patients. Against her husband's furious objections, Cassandra takes it upon herself to catch a killer; the discovery of whom opens the floodgates of unimaginable horror.
I enjoyed this story more than I thought I would. I give it an A!

Robin Cook is an awesome medical thriller writer and this book doesn't disappoint, it keeps you guessing till the end. It's creepy good and reminds us how much faith and power we give to medical personnel. Love it!
Typical Robin Cook EXCELLENT reading
Enjoyable read..
I suspect that this is one of the few techno-horror novels dedicated to someone named "Fluffy".
Another attention-grabbing thriller by Dr. Cook, this book was a quick, fun read with a twist. I definitely recommend this book if you enjoy the medical thriller genre.
like it but not a favorite
Really shows how the power of being a doctor can go to someone's head...and not in a particularly good way!
Someone is killing patients at Boston Memorial, and the reasons are confusing - but two people are close to realizing that something is going on, so the killer must act. One, Cassi Kingsley, is a former pathology resident who has switched to psychiatry, and the other is her friend Robert, who is still in pathology. They've noticed a pattern in deaths that don't have proper explanations. Cassi's husband, Thomas, is a superstar of the cardiology ward, and a surgeon of top class - he wants her to stop, as if these deaths have a medical reason, it will bring down the hospital. And the murderer wants these investigations to stop as well, for obvious reasons.
There have been many ways to die. But now,in an ultra-modern hospital, there is a new one. Plan tp read this one during hours, preferally in the company of old anr trusted friends.
A tissue-tingling thriller...keeps you poised on the points if steelpins and flashing hypodermic needles!
There have always been many ways to die. But now, in an ultra-modern hosapital, there was a new one. The most horrifying one of all...
