Lawd have mercy does Mr. Brown know a lot of adjectives. Sometimes this can be a good thing but in this case I found it to be detrimental. When it takes half a page to describe the sky, it gets ridiculous. I have read other reviews that seemed to like this style of writing but it was too much for me.
I'll also admit that I did not finish this book. I did make it to two-thirds of the way but decided to give up. It took me forever to get to that point and by the time I got there, I did not care about any of the characters. I also did not see any sort of plot. In turn, I did not see a reason to continue.
I will try another Taylor Brown book but it might be a ways down the road.
