Stephanie abandons her search for bail-jumpers here, instead going after a collector coin being sought by the bad guys who have kidnapped Connie, the office manager / den mother / voice of sanity in Stephanie's world.

twenty nine books in and Stephanie's cars still get blown up, she still can't decide between Ranger & Joe, Lula & grandma are still outrageous, and she still gets kidnapped. It's the same old same old plot only this time Connie is kidnapped and Stephanie & Lula must find her. The usual hi-jinks of capturing skip traces, drama with Joe's grandmother, and the usual steamy moments with Joe & Ranger. I was hoping that someday Stephanie will grow up and make a decision.
