I thought this was a very good book. It has alot of eye opening thoughts about women and the freedoms women enjoy and take for granted here in the states and in today's world. But what Theresa Christina Rubinoff gets for giving up a few simple freedoms is well worth the price...any true love is. If you like historical romances set in exotic places then this book is for you.

this is the book that introduced me to Johansen. I've read it so many times and though I lend out many books this is one of those I can't let anyone walk away with

Set in 1797, this is a classic Iris Johansen romance.
From the halls of a palatial prison to the hot sands of an endless desert...she was a ravishing pawin in a game of politics..he was a desert warrior king driven by passion and pride
I prefer more subtle romance novels when I do indulge in them. I think someone who really likes historical romances will greatly enjoy this book.
Delighted
I enjoyed this book but if you have read one of her historical novel, you have read them all. They all have similar characters and a similar plotline but they are fun all the same.
