another Wambaugh police drama-this one set in the playgrounds and passions of Orange County
A forty-year-old ex-cop becomes the target of an unknown assailant after he meets a beautiful divorcee.
The west-coast playgrounds of the filthy rich...where passions blow as hot-and as deadly-as the Santa Ana winds!
off beat suspense story set in newport beach and the california desert that depicts the world of riches.
A police detective, forced to retire after a back injury, and spiraling into alcoholism, meets and tries to help a woman whose father committed suicide -- or did he? Novel is set among the uber rich of California. As with other Wambaugh books, this one includes police procedures and tales, and memorable characters.
Wambaugh takes Willie and Tess on what seems like a golden trip. Willie is pulled out of the bottle for a while then things began to not be what they seem to be. It's a suspenseful trip, played out among the crowd that is used to money, uses money, and most of all needs money. I enjoyed the trip. This is the first Wambaugh I have read but it will not be the last.
