"Gone" is a more cerebral offering to the Alex Delaware series, with more attention than usual paid to the psychology of actors than the crimes themselves, and yet, in the end, we're left with no real answers, not even anything very concrete as to why the crimes occurred in the first place. Alex seems to be wandering in this one, as he re-evaluates his life, and the changes that take place - with Robin's return and Allison's slow fade - exemplify that. The distance Alex takes makes it hard to care about much of anything except his relationship with Milo. I'll freely admit half the reason I love these books is because of Milo, so getting to see him so much is a joy. It's the interactions between him and Alex in this one that make it readable, not necessarily the mysteries themselves.

Jonathan Kellerman is a winner - at every level. His Dr. Alex Delaware is a most believable and wonderful character, as are his LAPD buddy Milo and his old love Robin. This book - as do many of Kellerman's - deals with the scum of the earth, serial killers, and their ultra-twisted psyches. Bone-chillingly super read!
One of my favorite authors and this is one of his best.

Filled with suspense and a little more graphic violence than I like.
Not well-paced. Long periods of redundant material.
This was a real page turner, I had a difficult time putting it down every night. Enthralling.
This book had some great twists and turns, deginitely Kellerman at his best!!!
Not one of his best, but there is plenty to chew over in this very graphic and sometimes gory tale of Hollywood gone bad.

Alex Delaware is the kind of guy that you'd like to have as a friend.
Lots of twists and turns, but a little tough to start of.
Great series. Little slow. Picked up and got interesting near end.
I don't think Kellerman is even trying to put out good stories anymore. This was a rehash of everything else he's written, but a bad rehash at that. It wasn't exciting or suspensful in the least.

A slow start to this book, but when it picks up, there is lots of action and many twists.

This book was okay. I was expecting a lot more and thought it dragged throughout.
This is a very creepy and also very awesome entry in the Alex Delaware series. Just when you think Alex and Milo have dealt with the most macabre criminals...along comes a book that proves you wrong!

Gone, has Alex Delaware and Milo Sturgis out to solve a young woman's murder, they end up finding bizare suspects. Ties up some lose ends for Kellerman's last few books. I enjoyed it.
Alex and Milo team up to find the killer of a young girl that Alex saw as a consult for "pretending" to be abducted. Unfortunately, the real thing happens and she is murdered. Alex and Milo are frustrated at every turn trying to find out what happened and who is responsible. The truth they find is more grisly and horrible than either of them imagined in their worst nightmare. Good read.

This story was just ok. His storys get longer but drag in the middle and the ending was ok. I finished because I like most of his other books.
