I LOVE this series! If you haven't read any of them yet, start at the beginning so you can get to know the characters and their back stories. Each book has a mystery that is interesting in its own right, but the thing that really makes this series shine are the characters of Ted and Amanda. (Admittedly, my favorite is Ted, though Amanda has grown on me). Every time Ted is treated unfairly my heart breaks for him, but I love how the author gives her characters and the readers little victories to savor. (I don't like spoilers, but I will say that the scene about the cats made me want to high five someone, and I am not a high-fiver type of person).

For those who haven't read any of the books in the series, I would say that they remind me of the excellent Cork O'Conner series but more humorous and the crimes darker.

I hope that there will be another book soon and that this series continues for a long time.
