Sobering, serious story of our American heroes who serve and die, even if the might not have had to.

I got a slow start on this book because of all of the acronyms. Naylor tends to geek out a lot on the jargon (for which he provides a useful glossary), and it takes about 50 pages to get comfortable with it. That said, I've read a lot of books on how wars are conducted, and he did a fantastic job of digging up the facts on this operation. I left this book with a whole new admiration for our guys on the ground and a new seething anger at the guys who thought they could run this war from Washington.
