Each chapter is written in the first person by the character named at the beginning. Sometimes it was in the present and sometimes it went back to the past. I finally got so I could follow it without difficulty, but it took a while.
The book was good and certainly kept me reading, wanting to know what would happen next. That was after I sorted out the characters. The writing was good as was the story (even though it was not really believable. I won't spoil it for other readers by getting into all the plot line.

This story pulled me in right away, but then lost me for a bit. It got a little confusing as the story jumps from past to present throughout the book, but once the story line started making more sense to me, I couldn't put this book down. It was a bit predictable, but it was a very quick read. It makes you question what you might do for your children in a similar situation. It is also a story about grief.
This was a good, easy read, a little predictable but still very enjoyable. The story is told in alternating viewpoints and moves back and forth in time but was easy enough to follow. I thought Chamberlain did a great job of dealing with the characters loss and grief.
