Overall, this wasn't bad. It was a very slow burn, lots of twists and turns. But not a stay-up-all-night read for me. Maybe because I read SO many thrillers? I don't know. But I saw the twists and turns coming long off. And I didn't care for any of the characters at all. I was actually disgusted by many of the characters and hoped death on them all at different points. Not great, but it was an ok thiller.

A woman's brutal murder reveals the perilous compromises some couples make and the secrets they keep in order to stay together. Lizzie receives a call from Zach Grayson, an inmate at Rikers, who is an old friend. Zach is desperate as his wife, Amanda, has been found dead at the bottom of the stairs in their Brooklyn brownstone. Zach's the primary suspect. Lizzie learns that Zach and Amanda weren't what they seemed and were protecting troubling secrets. Lizzie is left wondering about her own marriage.
This is a legal thriller which was interesting from start to finish. The ending was a complete surprise. It was suspenseful and had unexpected twists. There were 2 POV's from Ananda and Lizzie. Lizzie finds out in the end that no marriage is perfect. Looking forward to reading Reconstructing Amelia by McCreight and recommend this one to those who like legal thrillers.
