I've been addicted to these types of "domestic psychological thrillers" recently. They all follow the same sort of formula, but I can't stop reading them!

This one starts out really well. I stayed up late reading the first half. It loses some momentum in the second half, and I pretty much had figured out the twist (though not all the details) by the time the big reveal came.

In fairness, maybe I'm getting burnt out on the genre. It is not a bad read.

The storyline was average with not much suspense until near the end. The protagonist was too wishy washy for me. After her husband dies in a car crash with another woman in Hawaii when he was supposed to be on a business trip in Kansas, she was devastated. It was the worst thing that happened in her life and was determined to find out why.

SPOILER ALERT
So off she goes to Hawaii with the fiancé of the dead woman and guess what? They fall in love with each other! WHAT!? Thought you loved your husband so much!! He just died!! Then suspense kicks in and...surprise!....he's a nutcase. So what else is new?
