An enjoyable read, if a bit predictable and anticlimactic.
I just loved reading this book. It is well written & kept my interest-Excellent "local color" of the people, foods & region of Provence! I learned a lot about wines. A fun read!
Peter Mayle's writing is my magic-carpet trip to France. Can't afford to go there, but he takes me there with his words, images, characters. Loved the movie they made from this story.
This is a lovely book and the reader's voice was captivating. I love the glimpses into France and European life.
What an enjoyable cd. Peter Mayle writes lovely stories, but hearing it aloud makes it even better. Great motivator for me to get on the exercise bike!
