I was surprised to find how short this book was...but I was grateful it was so short, b/c otherwise I would not have finished it. Disappointing for such a potentially great book.

I've never read any of Susan Wiggs' books before so I can't compare this to her other work, but I thoroughly enjoyed this book. While I wouldn't exactly say it was a "spellbinding action-packed, thrill a minute", I did find it interesting and well written. It's a short book that can be read in a couple of sittings and has a "feel-good" ending. I consider it to be a touching, heartwarming, summer read.

I can't believe I read this book in one day. I enjoyed reading about the adventures the mom & daughter come across on their way to taking her to college. It made me think I am glad my DS didn't go away.

I really like Susan Wiggs, so I was excited to get this new book. I was a little disappointed though, and didn't even read the entire book. It is a story about a Mom taking her only child- a daughter- away to college. Now, I know this is a hard thing to do, and even though I couldn't relate to the mom, I knew what she was going through. Still, the storyline was slow, the characters one-dimensional, and the writing sub-par. I read about 50 pages in, and then just skimmed the rest of the book.
