This book has a very unique writing style. It is kind of stream of conscience with no chapters and at times made it hard to decipher whether he was speaking about research or in the present tense like when they were on the school bus. For me it was an interesting read, but a challenging one. I would recommend this book only to WWII buffs or those who want to know all they could about the Holocaust. It is not as much of a pleasure read as other fictional novels on this subject.
